The HSC Result 2024 for All Education Board is expected to be published in mid-October. The results for the completed exams will be based on the evaluated answer scripts, while the canceled exams will be graded using students’ Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Junior School Certificate (JSC) or equivalent exam results.
As a result, over 1.45 million students and their parents are anxious about the outcome and eagerly waiting to know when the results will be announced.
Sources from the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board confirm that students are particularly worried about this year’s results. To ease their concerns, the authorities are working to release the results as soon as possible.
According to board officials, if the Ministry of Education approves the proposal next week, the results could be published by mid-October. However, if the approval is delayed, the results may be pushed back.
A proposal on how to calculate the HSC and equivalent exam results was submitted by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee to the Ministry of Education in early September. The proposal suggests using 75% of the SSC marks and 25% of the JSC marks to determine grades for the canceled exams.
This proposal has not yet been approved, and once it is, the committee will be able to announce the potential date for the results.
Sources from the Ministry of Education’s Secondary and Higher Education Division confirm that the proposal is under review and will likely be approved soon. With only one working day (Thursday) left this week, the approval could happen early next week.

When asked about the progress, Tapan Kumar Sarkar, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, stated, “We haven’t received the approval yet, but we are in regular communication. The ministry is working on this with priority, and we expect to get the approval soon. If not this week, then it should happen next week.”
Sarkar also mentioned that if the proposal is approved next week, the HSC results could be announced by mid-October, possibly by the third week of the month. “We don’t want to prolong the anxiety for the students, so we are working as quickly as possible,” he added.
